Fodor is a poor choice January 3, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I would not recommend this guide book. There are many guide books on the market and I found this one to be weak. Thankfully new zealand is a very easy country to travel in. If you want a good guide book that gives you essential information then Footprint is the best choice, with lonely planet as the other obvious substitute. This guide book was weak on maps and essential information. I would constantly need to refer to other sources of info to find my way around. With Footprint or Lonelyplanet i have had good and bad results, but overall I would continue to use them over Fodor. In general it depends on the author of the guide book.
