Nyc More
Looking for a charming rural community not more than an hour by train from NYC?
I am interested in finding a charming New England community near NYC. I want a rural feel and access to a village. Should be near NYC. I’m thinking Connecticut is the best place to look. Any suggestions?
These are the communities I’ve been considering — all in Conn — Wilton, Stamford, Greenwich, Fairfield, Darien. Does anyone have personal experience with any of these?
I will check out the great suggestions I’ve gotten so far!
Rural doesn’t exist 1 hour outside of NYC, technically. 1 hour outside of NYC is Suburban. Actually anything in that I-95 corridor between Boston and Washington DC is either Urban or Suburban. New England-ish? Why not try Pelham, NY in Westchester County. Right outside the Bronx and you’ll be 30 minutes away from Grand Central on the Metro North.
